Review of the Meridian Restaurant

The Meridian Restaurant is the waiter service restaurant onboard the Thomson Celebration cruise ship.

There is no surcharge to eat in the restaurant but there is a smart-casual dress code each night, which means you need to wear trousers and a shirt if you are male. On the formal captain’s cocktail night you will also need to wear a tie. Dinner jackets and bowties are optional although you will find that most people do make the effort.

You can eat in the Meridian Restaurant every night of your cruise if you want to.

There are five courses to choose from, each having two or more options. The first course is a starter, followed by a salad, then soup, your main course, and a dessert.

Many people will share a table and enjoy being social although if you prefer to dine alone you can ask for a table for two, four, or any other number that you are traveling with.

Top tip for eating at the Meridian Restaurant onboard the Thomson Celebration:
If you are on the Thomson Celebration all-inclusive drinks package remember to order wine by the glass rather than the bottle in the Meridian Restaurant. That way you will not be charged any extra. This could save you £38 or more per night!
